The Vision of Cage Free Productions is rooted in the vision of award-winning Producer, Director, and holistic development strategist Paul j Lynch. Paul's dedication to creating lasting change in the world was powerfully realized through his expertise and skill in socially active film making. Paul established
Cage Free Productions (CFP) in 2006 after years of frontline experience and research collected while working on development projects and producing and directing documentaries in some of the most intense "hot spots" in the world .
Through his passion, journeys, and expertise in visual communications and strategic development, Paul developed a unique perspective and approach that bridges the gap between ethical companies, donors, affected communities, implementing partners, and the global and international systems that hold the promise for building a better future, if their interconnected works are strategically developed and communicated.
After establishing CFP, Paul completed his Masters Degree in Global & International Studies at UCSB; his thesis "Globalizing Civil Society: Exporting a Western Social Imaginary?" focused on the interactions between representatives along the commodity chain of humanitarian aid and assistance in post-Tsunami reconstruction in Sri Lanka. His research and curiosity led him to continue more formal education; he wanted to partner his "field" research and practical knowledge with a theoretical background and the innovative breakthroughs in thought.
During his multi-faceted role as a learner, a teacher, a researcher, a mentor, a filmmaker, he continued to produce a series of videos on the refugee situation and political unrest in
Chad. Meanwhile as an Orfalea Fellow, he designed and developed a multimedia and video advocacy platform for the
Clinton Foundation.
Paul's research and documentary work were recently featured on the Al Hurra Network show Hayati (My Life). He has also been featured as a source on BBC Radio, Wall Street Journal, and various domestic and international news sources. He has worked in South Africa, Mozambique, Madagascar, Botswana, Liberia, Ghana, Chad, India,
Sri Lanka,
Israel,
Occupied Palestine, Thailand, Vietnam, Brazil, and the United States.
Presently, Paul works as a consultant and runs Cage Free Productions, a socially conscious business that creatively releases media by building The Vision of the Movement to support social justice, human rights, and sustainability. They are engaged in projects both locally and globally to address the challenges of the 21st Century.
